Known as the Marketplace and home to Twitter and Well Square, the building owners went with a natural polished concrete floor finish for their main floor and building entrance. PolishedCrete was the system used and the work was also performed by PolishedCretes union team.
“This polished concrete floor took just three days,” said Mike Price CEO of PolishedCrete. “We got in and out pretty quick and not only diamond polished the concrete but also added some nice decorative elements as well.”
The decorative elements include bands running along the concrete floor that were polished to ground to different surface textures. Combining stain, saw cuts and then polishing a concrete floor offers tremendous creative opportunities and trump just about any other type of decorative flooring option.
“When you combine the low initial installation cost with the almost nonexistent cost for maintenance, you get a really high performance flooring system that looks great,” added Price. We’re doing concrete floors in offices like this in San Francisco and all over the Bay Area. You see PolishedCrete floors in Google, Facebook, Twitter, Apple and its not just tech companies opting for polished concrete, retail establishments and schools are also big buyers.”
